ARTIFACT: Lovely circa 1890’s New Victoria Hotel creamer mug by Dunn Bennett & Co. Burslem, England. Dunn & Bennet & Co. was established in 1876 and was known for selling hotel china, earthenware, and Ironstone in both England and America. The creamer mug is decorated with blue and the front displays a circle strap and buckle that reads: “NEW VICTORIA HOTEL” and the top edge of the creamer is ornately embellished in the same blue color. The underside of the creamer displays a clear maker’s mark/stamp that reads: “VITRIFIED DUNN BENNETT & CO. MANUFACTURERS BURSLEM ENGLAND”. There were (and still are) a number of Victoria Hotels and though, uncertain of this creamer’s origination, it is likely it was in America, such as the one open in the early 1900’s in New York.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890’s

SIZE: Approximately 2 ¾” tall x 3 ¼” wide (w/ handle) – 2” in diameter (top) and 2 ¼” base diameter.
