ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1890's Great Northern Secret Service Bureau private detective and deputy sheriff shield badge. The badge is a shield with a cut out five-pointed circle star at center and reads PRIVATE DETECTIVE DEPUTY 20 SHERIFF G.N.S.S.B.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890's.

SIZE:

2-1/2" in height x 2-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated nickel with painted letters.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin.
