This is a circa 1890s badge for the street railway motorman division of The City Railway Company of Dayton, Ohio. Dayton was one of the first American cities to use electricity to power transportation, beginning in 188The badge is numbered 3.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890s.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass, painted details.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
