This is an 1890s Cedar Rapids, Iowa Railroad Police 5-point star badge #12.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890s.
SIZE:About 2-5/8" in width by 2-1/2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with painted details.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical one piece safety-type pin with a "C" catch and saddle to connect it to the badge.
MARKINGS:None.
