This is a United States Army Artillery kepi, or hat, badge from the Indian Wars period.
VINTAGE:Circa 1870's.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Lead filled brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:None.
