1870s-1880s Boston, Concord & Montreal Railroad (BC&M RR) Lantern "Brass Top Bell Bottom"

This is a circa 1870s-1880s lantern from the Boston, Concord and Montreal Railroad. It is in the "brass top, bell bottom" style. In 1887, the Boston, Concord and Montreal became part of the Boston and Maine Railroad. Two years later it partnered with the Concord Railroad to become the Concord and Montreal Railroad .

Circa 1870s-1880s.

Approximately 10-1/4" in height and 6-1/4" in diameter (across base).

Brass.

Handle is missing.

6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The lantern is missing the handle, globe, burner and reservoir, and has several areas of oxidation.

As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
