ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful hand-engraved and hand-enameled Masonic keystone medal in coin silver. It was presented to Civil War veteran George W. Dixon of the 25th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. Dixon was from Worcester, Massachusetts. Dixon's initials "GWD" are intertwined at the center of the medal, and the letters "K.S.H.T.W.S.S.T.", indicative of Dixon's Royal Arch Mason status, encircle the initials.

VINTAGE: Circa 1860s-1870s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-engraved coin silver, enamel (done by hand).

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: George W. Dixon EUREKA R.A.C. Worcester, Mass.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The medal is handsomely tarnished and has some light wear.
