ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces Fire Department badge for Brooks Field in San Antonio, Texas. The badge shows an eagle at top and reads FIRE DEPT. 23 BROOKS FIELD.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 2-3/8" height and 1-13/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with painted letters.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.

MARKINGS: C. SIMMANG S.A.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Badge shows some light abrasions.
