ARTIFACT:
This is a jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 869th Bomber Squadron, 497th Bomber Group, 20th Air Force. The patch shows a tough guy in a bowler hat walking on a cloud with a missile.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
About 5-1/4" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Royal blue chenille patch embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads with a dirigible skin backing.
