Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a great World War II US Army Air Forces jacket patch for the 472nd Bombardment Squadron, 334th Bombardment Group, 3rd Air Force. The patch shows "Bomby the Bear" playing billiards.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 4" in height x 5" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Embroidery thread on wool felt with cotton support.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

None.

CONDITION:

9- (Excellent+): This patch is in great condition with very little wear at all. 2 small areas of edge shrinkage at bottom do not detract.
