ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II shoulder patch in the "skeleton wings" variant (with clear blue details showing between the wings) for the United States Army Air Forces 15th Air Force. The patch shows a winged star beneath a number 15.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 2-7/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
