Description
This is a great World War II grouping from a member of the US Navy WAVES, Margeret Louise Sullivan. The WAVES, or the Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service, were the first women to serve in the army as a division of the US Navy. The grouping includes a WAVES ring, two sterling anchor pins, two dog tags, a framed individual photo of Ms. Sullivan, two anchor patches and one shoulder patch. The group also includes a beautifully written four-page letter addressed to Margaret L. Sullivan for the WAVES from a hopeful and respectful crew of enlisted men from the LCT 217 in French North Africa dated August 1943.

SIZE:Various sizes, including a patch of 4" height and 2-3/8 " width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Everything is made of expected materials: pins are sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Pins have vertical pins with drop-in swivel catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING on both pins; JOSTENS JOKSTER mark on ring.
