Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II United States Navy "ruptured duck" discharge lapel pin. The pin is in fact an eagle with one wing partially obscured by a circular frame and it reads NAVY.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 9/16" in height and 5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Badge has some light wear and tarnish and some small spots of oxidation.
