This is a World War II United States Navy Department Naval Repair Base at San Diego official badge. Originally a destroyer base, the San Diego location was redesignated in 1943 as the United States Repair Base, and it also assumed training duties. The badge is in turquoise and white celluloid.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin with clear saddle.
MARKINGS:None.
