This is a shoulder patch for the United States Army 8th Armored Division, also known as the "Thundering Herd". The patch is a tri-colored triangle bordered in olive drab embroidery. The "top" section of the patch is in orange embroidery rather than yellow, and shows a tank track, cannon, lightning bolt and a number 8.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/2" in height and 3-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
