ARTIFACT: Late WWII United States Air Transport Command. Unofficial "India China Division" shirt size Pilot or First Officer wing made in the form of a tie bar. Theater-made, most likely in India. Originally worn by George C. Toop. The wing reads "ICD" on the center plate topped with a star.

Below are links to additional pieces which also belonged to Early TWA Pilot, WWII Civilian Air Transport Command (India China Division) Sr. Pilot, and Later TWA Captain George Cole Toop.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 2 1/8" x 6/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Tie bar clip.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII US aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MGEX12 LGGEX1/15

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): Wing/tie bar shows very little wear, nearly all of the gilt details remain intact.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
