Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a WWII Allied Forces propaganda leaflet dropped on German soldiers at the Battle of the Bulge: it was a safe conduct pass deployed by American and British bombers. If a German Soldier carried this pass to an Allied soldier it showed that he was "e;giving up"e; and turning himself over to the Allies. If the German Soldier was found by his own comrades while trying to surrender, he would probably be shot.
