Description
This is a World War II Royal Canadian Air Force jacket patch that originally belonged to American Volunteer William Lewis Sexton. Lewis flew as a pilot in the Royal Air Force and was also a volunteer from the United States who entered service with the RCAF. The patch is a decal on twill and reads PER ARDUA AD ASTRA: Through adversity to the stars.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5-5/8" in height and 5-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Decal on twill, cotton backing.
