ARTIFACT: This is a World War II Lockheed-Vega United States Army Air Forces Service School identification badge for mechanic training. The school was located in the National Guard Hangar at Los Angeles Airport (LAT). The badge was made by the Whitehead Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, clear celluloid, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: #330; WHITEHEAD-HOAG on reverse.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge has some light to medium wear and some yellowing.
