ARTIFACT: This is a World War II "fitter", or "montatore", rank badge for an Italian Air Force non-commissioned officer. The badge is rectangular and is embroidered in silver bullion.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool embroidered in silver bullion, cotton backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The badge has some small spots of moderate to heavy wear where the bullion is missing and some areas of tarnish to the bullion.
