WWII Homefront, USN or Merchant Marine "Pier Operations" Wooden 2-Sided Sign

This is a circa World War II two-sided wooden sign reading "Pier Operations". It is painted in black and off-white with stencil-style lettering, and was either a homefront sign or used by the United States Navy or Merchant Marine. The front edge of the sign is beveled and the reverse is flat.

Approximately 18" in length and 6" in width and 3/4" in thickness.
