Description
This is a World War II Greenwich, Connecticut Special Police / Defense Police badge. The shield-shaped badge is numbered 5Greenwich is at the furthest southwestern limit of the State of Connecticut. The well-to-do town was founded in 1640 by a small party, including the daughter of John Winthrop, who established the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/8" in height and 2-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with tongue-style catch.
