This is a World War II gold-filled service/discharge pin for the Women's Army Corps, the first women's group other than nurses to serve in the United States Army. The pin reads WAC VETS on green enamel and shows a gold bust of a helmeted Athena at center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:ESCO (?) 1/20 10K.
