This is a World War II era "mutilati" sleeve shield for a veteran of the Italian Army who had been severely wounded. The shield shows three upright swords at its center
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in cotton/silk threads, cotton backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The shield has some light to medium wear.
