This is a World War II English-made United States Army Major rank insignia. The leaf is made by J. R. Gaunt of London.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 1" in width.

Gold-plated brass.

Horizontal British kick (Y) pin with C catch.
