This is an Australian-made United States Army Air Forces 405th Bomb Squadron, 38th Bomb Group, 5th Air Force patch used from 2/42-7/45. The design is the head of a ferocious dragon.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
About 5-1/4" wide by 5-1/4" high.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Embroidery on wool.
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn onto a garment.
