Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War I United States Army officer hat badge. The badge is curved to fit a hat, and shows an eagle with shield, olive branch and arrows with thirteen stars at the top.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

About 2-1/16" height and 1-15/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Lacquered brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing, one stabilization post (one post is missing).

MARKINGS:

None.
