This is a World War I United States Army 5th Cavalry Troop "L" officer novice collar badge showing two crossed sabers.

Circa World War I.

Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 2" in width.

Copper.

Diagonal pin with "C" catch (catch was resoldered on backwards).
