ARTIFACT:
This is a collection of World War I United States Air Service items named to A. G. Morrison, a stateside pilot. Included are his jacket, pants and a hat, all tailor-made by the same maker. Also included is pair of boots, which is in fantastic shape with some handsome mottling, as well as his suede flight helmet and gloves. The jacket has a wonderful Robbins manufacture pilot wing and a Victory Medal, as well as two US insignia, two winged propeller collar insignia, two bars on the shoulder tabs and two stateside stripes. It also has four pockets and one interior pocket. The matching pants have button-up detailing on the lower legs and reinforced knee areas.

SIZE:
Jacket: (no size tag) approximately 17" (armpit to armpit), 26" from shoulder seam to end of cuff, 15" across back shoulder to shoulder and about 27" from base of collar to hem. Wing: about 1" by 3-1/4"; medal: 1-3/" by 3". Pants: 14-1/2" waist, 28-1/2" inseam; hat: (maybe size 7) head opening is 7" by 6-3/4"; helmet: 11-3/4" from end of visor to back edge (lying flat, folded in half); boots: (size unknown) sole length: 11-3/4", sole width: 4", heel height: 1-1/4", total height: 20-1/4"; gloves: 12-1/2" x 8" (each).
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Jacket: wool, cotton, brass buttons (plated brass insignia, silver tinsel thread on wool wing, bronze and silk medal); pants: wool, cotton pockets, lining, resin buttons; hat: wool, leather, silk, plated brass badge, elasticized cotton band; helmet: suede leather, felt lining, leather chin strap, brass; boots: leather, wood; gloves: stitched leather, brass. ATTACHMENTS: Jacket: buttons, rectangular loop at collar, shoulder tabs; insignia: pins; wing: two posts with circular backings; medal: pin on bar, ribbon suspension ring; pants: button flay, belt loops, buttons at ends of legs; hat: strap around band, single screw post with disc backing on insignia; helmet: chin strap with buckle, suede loops on sides; gloves: straps, snaps, buckle (on each).

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The items are in various conditions but overall in wonderful shape. Jacket: handful of tiny moth bites, some scattered, small spots of discoloration in lining with stains at armpits; pants: a few very small moth bites, one button missing form left leg and one 1" tear in right leg; hat: one moth hole, scattered moth bites on top and some spots of wear to band, liner loose in one area; boots: small tears to stitching at rear top, soles have some wear but no holes; boots have been wonderfully worn; helmet and gloves in very good shape with some spots of light wear.
