Description

ARTIFACT:

Beautiful WWI Prussian Pilot Badge Unfinished Test Stamping in bronze. Exquisite detail, badge depicts a plane flying in the center of a wreath of half laurel and half oak leaves joined together at the bottom in a ribbon and topped with a Prussian crown. Appears to be by the "Unknown" maker loosely attributed to Meybauer on pages 185-187 of the book "Air Crew Badge & Honor Prizes of the Flying Troops from 1913 to 1920 by Baldes.

3" in height x 2 1/8" in width.

Stamped bronze.
