Description
This is a World War I era Canadian operative badge. The badge is named on reverse to a W. L. Drury. The badge reads OPERATIVE SECRETE-SERVICE and at the center of the badge is a scene in relief of two men shaking hands. The name of the agency has been removed from the front of the badge (it looks like it may have started and ended with the letter E).
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with Tiffany-style locking catch.
MARKINGS:W. L. DRURY.
