ARTIFACT: This is a 185th Overseas Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Forces officer's collar badge from World War I. The 185th was also known as the "Cape Breton (Nova Scotia) Highlanders". The badge reads SIOL NA FEAR FEARAI (breed of manly men).

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Great Britain and Commonwealth collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX04 LAAEX4/12

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has light to medium wear and tarnish.
