ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces 1st Tow Target Squadron patch. The 1st Tow Target Squadron was based out of Otis Field in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The patch shows a busy insect (hornet?) towing its own rear section.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 4-1/2" wide by 4-1/2" high.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidery on canvas.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto a garment.

MARKINGS: None.
