ARTIFACT:
This is a World War I hat badge from the Royal Flying Corps, the over-land air arm of the British military during World War I. The pin shows the RFC insignia wreathed by laurel leaves with a crown atop.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War I.
SIZE:
1-3/4" height and 1-3/8" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:
Two loops where hat pin would go.
