This is a wonderful and absolutely beautiful 1910's - WWI - Early 1920s USMC Enlisted Man Full Dress "Duty" Belt Buckle with a stunning Officer Collar EGA by Bailey, Banks, & Biddle BB&B.
This is the finest example of this type of buckle that we have seen. If an officer ever wore a buckle of this type, it would look like this one!
VINTAGE:
Circa WWI to early 1920's.
SIZE:Approximately: 2-3/4" in length x 1-7/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:EG&A: Sterling Silver with 10K Gold. Buckle: Gold Plated (possibly Fire Gilt) Bronze
ATTACHMENT:Belt loop, clip.
MARKINGS:Initials of original owner/wearer scratched onto reverse:

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Light to moderate wear to original lacquered finish of buckle, and to high point of EG&A.
