Wonderful WWI Austrian Navy Model 1915 Pilot Badge, 1920's Construction. Exquisite!

This is a wonderful WWI Austrian Navy Model 1915 Pilot's Badge, constructed in the 1920's. Although it is not riveted, or held together with bent over prongs, like so many post-war examples of this badge, it is made in 2 pieces, the basic badge, and then the detailed, one-piece Albatross, crown, and anchor is soldered to the badge base. The Albatross is silver plated, while the crown & anchor are gilt. The albatross shows a lovely rainbow patina form the passing of the years.

Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.

Gilt brass, silvered and enameled.
