This is a wonderful circa 1900 child's pencil box or case in the whimsical form of a giant pencil! It was made by American Pencil Company of New York. The metal end of the pencil is a screw-off cap.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 11-1/4" in length and 1-3/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wood, plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Screw cap.
MARKINGS:American Pencil Co. N.Y. Patent Appl'd for.
