Description
This is a wonderful circa early 1930s United States Navy officer submarine dolphins by Meyer. The dolphins are well-worn, or "salty": if only they could talk! They definitely saw use during World War II. They are made in "MeyerMetal", a proprietary metallic mix of that company that is very resistant to tarnishing.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 13/16" in height and 2-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:MeyerMetal.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:MEYER(M)ETAL, engraved Meyer shield.
