ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful circa early 1930s United States Navy officer submarine dolphins by Meyer. The dolphins are well-worn, or "salty": if only they could talk! They definitely saw use during World War II. They are made in "MeyerMetal", a proprietary metallic mix of that company that is very resistant to tarnishing.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16" in height and 2-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: MeyerMetal.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: MEYER(M)ETAL, engraved Meyer shield.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The dolphins are well-worn with replaced catch and broken stabilization pin on reverse of conning tower..
