This is a great image, printed as a Real Photo Post Card (RPPC) and sent a Deutsche Feldpost (Soldier's Mail) by a Prussian Army NCO Feldwebel stationed in Palestine. The pilot in the image, standing in front of his Seaplane, with crash helmet in hand, and his flight coveralls draped over the pontoon, is Oberflugmeister Karl Meyer, who became the German Naval Air Service's first flying ace, and one of the few German two-seater aces.
Approximately 5-7/16" in width x 3-1/2" in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Photographic paper, ink.
"K.O. FELDPOST 15. 7 17. 10-11V b" (Post Office stamped)
This is from a WWI Prussian medal collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX18 LAGEX04/05/20 SAGEX05/05/20
6+(Fine+): The post card shows nice and fine condition.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
