ARTIFACT: Wonderful Large Antique Tibetan "Ghau" Silver & Turquoise Woman's Reliquary Amulet. A beautiful, classic example of a Tibetan Ga'u Amulet Box, this style was popular for wear by women in and around Lhasa, Tibet, and areas of Northern India. This example features a center of bezel set turquoise chips in the form of a bird perhaps and the center is bordered by three rows of turquoise. Each side of the square features a triangular shaped embellishment with a triangle cut piece of red glass lined with turquoise.

VINTAGE: Ca mid-1800's.

SIZE: Approximately 4" in height x 4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver, turquoise, and red glass - weighs 85 grams.

ATTACHMENT: To be worn on necklace, top has decorative tubular opening.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The amulet shows minor to moderate wear, nearly all of the stones remain fully intact, overall excellent condition.
