ARTIFACT: This is a Wonderful French 3rd Republic Miniature Legion d'Honneur in Gold & Silver with 18 Mine Cut Diamond.

From Wikipedia: The National Order of the Legion of Honour (French: Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur, formerly the Imperial Order of the Legion of Honour, is the highest and most prestigious French national order of merit, both military and civil. Consisting of five classes, it was originally established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte and it has been retained (with occasional slight alterations) by all subsequent French governments and regimes.

VINTAGE: Circa 1800.

SIZE: Approximately: 2-3/8" in height x 1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold & Silver with 18 Mine Cut Diamond and green and blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT: U Shape pin.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a French Military Collection, which we will be listing more of over the next few months. KAJJP18 LHIEX10/19/25

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The medal shows moderate wear and enamel chipped on the back, and the front ribbon is damaged. Overall, the front enamel and diamond all remain intact and are in very fine condition.
