ARTIFACT: This is a Wonderful Civil War Period Brass Confederate 2 piece Interlocking Buckle Nickel Plated for UCV (United Confederate Veterans) Wear.

VINTAGE: Civil War period.

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/8" in height x 3-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Loops.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old Confederate veteran collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAJJM22 LCDIEX03/12/22

CONDITION: 6+ (Very Fine+ ): Original brass/bronze was nickel plated later in the 19th century for parade wear, that nickel finish is worn off in several high point of the central seal, and on the left (as viewed) belt loop, exposing the brass, which is in a very dark point of patination. Under this nickel surface, the buckle appears to have had a good deal of usage, and it has light to moderate wear in that original surface. The buckle is in a beautiful state of preservation, and has a great "been there" look.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
