Wonderful Anti-Axis War Worker War Loan Large Celluloid: To Rid The World of Rats We Bought Hellcats

Wonderful, Anti-Axis War Worker, War Loan large celluloid pin from Bethlehem – Hingham, Massachusetts Shipyard. The top of the pin shows a globe with a ring around its center with a Japanese Rising Sun on one side and a swastika. The center of the pin shows an aircraft in red and surrounding it reads: "TO RID THE WORLD OF RATS WE BOUGHT HELLCATS" and below the aircraft: "4th WAR LOAN BETHLEHEM – HINGHAM SHIPYARD, INC." The yard operated for five years beginning in 1940.

Circa WWII.

Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.

Celluloid, paper, adn tinned steel.

Horizontal safety style pin.
