ARTIFACT: Wonderful, Anti-Axis War Worker, War Loan large celluloid pin from Bethlehem – Hingham, Massachusetts Shipyard. The top of the pin shows a globe with a ring around its center with a Japanese Rising Sun on one side and a swastika. The center of the pin shows an aircraft in red and surrounding it reads: "TO RID THE WORLD OF RATS WE BOUGHT HELLCATS" and below the aircraft: "4th WAR LOAN BETHLEHEM – HINGHAM SHIPYARD, INC." The yard operated for five years beginning in 1940.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid, paper, adn tinned steel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The pin shows minor to moderate surface wear and oxidation to reverse pin, overall excellent condition.
