Description
This is a wonderful collection of late 1960s to early 1970s USAF Reconnaissance-related patches, all having belonged to a ground crewman: Technical Sergeant R. H. Brown. I am offering these first as a group on the still very serviceable nylon & leather garment bag, but if it does not sell in a month or so, I will probably break the group up. There are 13 patches total, in order of wow factor below Japanese Made U-2 Aircraft Art patch showing a great cartoon stylized American Indian in a feathered hat smoking a huge cigar (or?) brandishing a shotgun in a cloud of smoke. I am told this is for the U-2 Aircraft named "Smokin' Joe", and I can make out "JOE" in the smoke clouds on the right, but cannot make out what I am supposed to be seeing on the left.
