This is a West African edged weapon used by the Akan tribe which dates from the late 19th century or early 20th century. The knife has a paddle-shaped blade with a teardrop cut-out at center and a wooden handle. The stand is included.
VINTAGE:Circa late 19th century Ð early 20th century.
SIZE:Knife: approximately by 14-1/4" in length and 4-1/8" in width at widest part of blade; stand: 4" square base.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Knife: steel, wood; stand: painted steel and brass.
