This is a Vintage 1980’s – 1990’s Mckee Platero Child’s Bracelet with Applied Hearts, Classic Low Grade Blue Gem Turquoise.

McKee Platero, one of the most masterful and celebrated contemporary Navajo silversmiths, primarily hallmarks his handmade jewelry by hand-stamping his initials MP into the metal. Because he hand-makes his own stamps and chisels, the precise shape and spacing of the MP hallmark can vary slightly across different periods of his career.

Beyond his standard MP stamp, Platero is well-known to collectors for utilizing a few distinctive variations and stylistic trademarks:

Orion 3-Dot Hallmark: On select exquisite, highly detailed pieces (such as his famous pins and elaborate cuffs), McKee has been known to use a stamp featuring three small dots aligned in a row (often referred to as an "Orion" mark).
