Description
This is a circa 1900 figural watch fob of a Ham Lantern, made by C (Charles) T (Trafton) Ham Manufacturing of Rochester, New York. Ham, originally from North Berwick, Maine, worked on the railroad before going into business with others and eventually for himself in 188The reverse of the fob reads THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY PERFECT COLD BLAST LANTERN ALL OTHERS ARE IMITATIONS. C.T. HAM MFG. CO. ROCHESTER N.Y. The fob advertises "Ham's No. 2 Cold Blast" lantern and is by Bastian Brothers, also of Rochester, New York. It hangs from a leather strap.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 5-3/4" in length (including strap) and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with formerly painted areas, leather.
ATTACHMENT:Strap with buckle, loop.
