ARTIFACT: This is a 1960s patch for the United States Navy Communications Station (USNCS), Japan. Previously known as the Naval Communications Facility, the USNCS was so renamed in 1960, and remains the most important US naval site in the Western Pacific. One section was known as the Yokohama Microwave (M/W) Relay and Tandem Switching Station at Negishi Heights.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-late 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-3/4" in width and 3-5/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LCEX4/12 SCEX04/19

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The patch shows some light to moderate wear, mostly along the edge.
