Description
This is a very rare World War II English-made jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 350th Bomb Squadron, "Bloody 100th " 100th Bomb Group. The Bloody 100th inherited its nickname after suffering repeated heavy losses, a situation not helped when they became a sought-after target for vengeful German aircraft. The patch shows a leprechaun-like figure on a cloud regulating the flow of bombs.
