Description
This is a very rare American Volunteer Group (AVG)-type Chinese pilot wing with a number (1946) in the vicinity of the Flying Tigers issuance, which is generally accepted as under the issue number of 2000. These early style issue Chinese wings were made in 3 separate pieces braised together, with the central Chinese sun in a blue and white enamel as a 4th piece held in by crimped edges. These are a delicate wing prone to breakage and to find one in this number range and in this condition is extremely difficult.
